COMPLETE CARE
Care for every Stage of Life
Our pediatric services support a wide range of healthcare needs while providing clear guidance for families. Each child is unique, and we take a personalized, holistic approach at every stage of development.
We offer Well Child Visits, Sick Child Visits, same day appointments, and more. Below is an overview of how we support your child's health and well-being.

Well Child Visits
Well child visits are an essential part of pediatric care. These visits help monitor growth, development, and overall health while ensuring key milestones are being met.
We assess physical health, development, nutrition, and activity levels, as well as address any questions or concerns you may have.
Routine developmental screenings are included to help identify potential concerns early and provide guidance when needed.
The recommended schedule for well child visits is as follows:
The First Year
1-5 days after birth
1 Month
2 Months
4 Months
6 Months
9 Months
12 Months
Toddler & Preschool Years
15 Months
18 Months
2 Years
2 ½ Years
3 Years
4 Years
5 Years
During these visits, we perform a physical exam, review growth, and discuss immunization options based on your preferences.

Developmental Screenings
Developmental screenings are a routine part of well child visits and help ensure your child is progressing as expected.
We eveluate four key areas:
-
Motor Skills: How your child moves their body, from lifting their head and rolling over to grasping objects, crawling, and eventually walking and running.
-
Social and Emotional Skills: How your child interacts with others, including making eye contact, smiling, expressing emotions, and learning to play.
-
Language and Communication: How your child understands and communicates their needs, from cooing and babbling to speaking their first words and forming sentences.
-
Cognitive Skills: How your child thinks, learns, and solves problems, such as exploring new toys with curiosity, recognizing familiar faces, and following simple instructions.
Working Together with Parents
Every child develops at their own pace. These screenings are meant to guide conversations, not create pressure.
Your input is important, and we value your perspective.
If additional care is recommended, we will explain next steps clearly and connect you with helpful resources.

Sick Child Visits
When your child is sick, timely care matters. Our sick child visits are designed to address concerns quickly and are often available the same day.
We evaluate symptoms, provide a diagnosis, and recommend treatment to help your child feel better as soon as possible.
Whether it is a fever, cough, sore throat, or another common illness, our team provides clear guidance and effective support.

Immunizations at COLFS Medical Clinic
At COLFS Medical Clinic, we offer but do not require children in our practice to receive immunizations (also known as vaccinations). From infancy through adulthood, immunizations have been a cornerstone of preventive care around the world, protecting individuals and families from a wide range of preventable diseases.
However, we realize that in the last several years, our trust in government health organizations has been tested. We recognize that many parents are questioning the routine vaccine recommendations. Some choose not to vaccinate their children, delay vaccination, or selectively vaccinate. Our team is committed to providing information and support to you, the parents, respecting you as being in the best position to make decisions for your children. We will never pressure you to choose vaccinations nor make you uncomfortable for the choices you make regarding them. We strongly recommend that you become well informed about the risks and benefits of vaccines.
Pediatric Immunizations
As part of your child's well child visit, we review immunization history, discuss age-based recommendations, and talk through which vaccines, if any, you feel comfortable moving forward with.
During these visits, our team will:
-
Perform a physical exam to ensure your child is healthy enough for vaccination.
-
Administer any immunizations that you choose for your child.
-
Answer your questions and discuss any concerns.
-
Maintain an accurate record of your child’s vaccination history.

Sports Physicals
As your child prepares for a new sports season, a pre-participation physical exam (PPE), or sports physical, is often required.
Sports physicals help ensure your child is ready to participate safely. Our goal is to identify any potential health risks, prevent injuries, and give you peace of mind knowing your athlete is ready for the field, court, or track.
These visits include a review of medical history and a physical exam focused on overall health, movement, and safety. We assess heart and lung function, vision, joints, strength, and flexibility, and complete any required school or sports forms.

Our Collaborative Approach
We understand that parents may have questions about vaccines and other aspects of their child's health. At COLFS Medical Clinic, we take a collaborative approach that values your role in every decision.
We provide clear, evidence-based information, answer your questions, and walk through options so you can make informed choices with confidence.
We believe parents are the strongest advocates for their children. Our goal is to support you with guidance, respect your preferences, and never pressure you into decisions you are not comfortable with.
If you would like to discuss your child's care, including immunizations, we invite you to schedule a well child visit or annual physical with our team.
Same Day Appointments
Health concerns can arise unexpectedly, and timely care is important. That is why we offer same day appointments, to the best of our ability, for urgent needs.
If your child becomes sick, our team works to see you as quickly as possible. We assess symptoms, provide a diagnosis, and guide you on the next steps for recovery.
Flexible Payment Options: Making Healthcare Accessible
We believe that every child deserves access to high-quality healthcare, regardless of financial circumstances.
That’s why COLFS Medical Clinic offers a variety of payment options.
We accept most major insurance plans and offer self-pay options to make care more accessible for families. For eligible patients, we also offer a sliding fee scale.
